Rawlings COOLFLO
Since moving up from tee-ball, we’ve used the Rawlings COOLFLO softball batting helmet for a few seasons. It’s now a regular part of our gear for every game and practice. The COOLFLO ventilation system works well and pulls air through the helmet, so she stays cooler in the box and on the bases. The padding is soft but holds the helmet in place, giving a snug fit without hot spots.

Performance
On the field, the Rawlings COOLFLO works the way a modern batting helmet should. The COOLFLO vents run from front to back and along the sides, pulling air through the helmet as the player moves. This helps limit sweat and heat even in long innings. Inside, the padding gives a snug, secure fit that does not shift when the player swings or runs, but still feels comfortable for a full game.
Durability
The COOLFLO’s hard ABS plastic shell is built to last through many seasons of practices, games, and foul balls off the cage. The outside resists cracks and major scuffs. Inside, the foam padding keeps its shape over time instead of flattening out after a few months. Even with regular use and tossing it in and out of a bat bag, the helmet keeps its structure, fit, and comfort. This makes it a strong long-term value for softball families who do not want to buy new helmets every year.
